NSW: Three charged over bashed body in river: police

CANBERRA, Dec 6 AAP - Three members of one family have been charged over the death
of a man found in a southern NSW river nine months ago.

Father of four Danny Ralph, 46, was found on the bottom of the Queanbeyan River - below
a blood-stained suspension bridge - by police divers on March 29.

He was last seen in the early hours of the same day, leaving the licensed club in Queanbeyan
where he worked.

Mr Ralph, a chef from the south coast town of Ulladulla, was beaten before being pushed
off the bridge, police say.

Police arrested a man and two women, from the same family, during simultaneous dawn
raids on two homes in Queanbeyan on Friday.

Forensic teams examined the homes and seized three cars for inspection.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder and two women, aged 20 and 50, have
been charged with being accessaries after the fact to murder.

The case was mentioned in Queanbeyan Local Court on Saturday morning. The three people
charged did not appear in person, and did not apply for bail.

They remain in custody and will appear in court on Monday morning.
