Students at Cohoes High School with the best attendance records for the fall are about to be rewarded with a trip to Fort Devens, Mass., as part of the district's new attendance policy.
Principal James Proper said the Cohoes Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a trip for 55 students to a U.S. Army base where they will visit a school for military police officers.
As part of their Jan. 16 visit, students will be allowed on board a Cobra helicopter with military personnel, see a canine training demonstration, participate in demonstrations with army tanks and attempt target practice with laser guns, Proper said.
